La déconstruction du cinéma Vox s’est terminée le 5 octobre 2020 avec la démolition de l’ancienne facade art-déco, blanche aux caractères rouges et à la verrière à petits carreaux, qui faisait partie depuis un siècle, du paysage rambolitain.
Le vaste terrain ainsi dégagé (1109 m²) en plein centre ville s’est trouvé enclos de barrières métalliques en attendant qu’une équipe de l’INRAP (Institut de Recherches Archéologiques Préventives) scrute les profondeurs du sol ainsi mis à nu.
