Les feuilles ou aiguilles persistantes et courtes entourent le rameau formant une sorte d\u2019\u00e9couvillon. Elles sont raides, droites et piquantes et marqu\u00e9es de lignes blanches. Les fruits sont des c\u00f4nes cylindriques dress\u00e9s de 10 \u00e0 15 cm avec une pointe au sommet. Indiff\u00e9rent \u00e0 la nature des sols il r\u00e9siste bien \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse.<\/p><p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\">Les peuplements naturels existent dans les montagnes du sud de l\u2019Espagne (sapin d\u2019Andalousie) et dans le Rif marocain sur des terrains calcaires. On le retrouve aussi en Loz\u00e8re en petits peuplements dispers\u00e9s.<\/p><p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\">C\u2019est une esp\u00e8ce ornementale. Louis de VILMORIN \u00e0 Verri\u00e8res-le-Buisson.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Voici comment il le d\u00e9crivait :<em>\u00ab Le sapin Pinsapo est non seulement un des plus distincts par son feuillage sp\u00e9cial, mais encore un des plus beaux et des plus robustes. Il est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandu aujourd&rsquo;hui dans les cultures et bien venant \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s partout m\u00eame dans les terres calcaires, dont il s&rsquo;accommode facilement.
