Les branches basses ont tendance \u00e0 se redresser. Les feuilles ou aiguilles sont persistantes group\u00e9es en rosette ; elles sont <i>aigu\u00ebs<\/i>, raides, droites et de couleur bleu-vert. Les c\u00f4nes (fruits) sont gros, dress\u00e9s, larges et poss\u00e8dent un sommet aplati.<\/p><p class=\"western\">Arbre typiquement m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en originaire des montagnes d\u2019afrique du Nord, il peut vivre 500ans. Il est capable de r\u00e9sister au froid et de s\u2019adapter \u00e0 toutes les natures de sol.<\/p><p class=\"western\">C\u2019est une esp\u00e8ce foresti\u00e8re et ornementale. Il en existe plusieurs vari\u00e9t\u00e9s\u00a0: <em>aurea<\/em> (dor\u00e9)<em> fastigiata<\/em> (port fastigi\u00e9), <em>glauca<\/em> (le plus beau) et <em>pendula<\/em> (\u00e0 branches retombantes). Le c\u00e8dre du Liban tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandu \u00e0 l\u2019origine est maintenant en voie de disparition. C\u2019est un tr\u00e8s bel arbre de parcs et (grands) jardins.
